Sussane’s professional vocal experience is extensive and includes many different styles including opera, music theatre, cabaret, popular and folk. As well as success in the performance arena of vocal performance, Sussanne has gained recognition as a voice specialist whose insight, wholistic approach and passion for vocal excellence for all students places her at the top of her field.
Sussane has students currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, WAAPA, the University of Western Sydney and the Australian Institute of Music. She has many other students working professionally in the areas of jazz, opera, music theatre and popular music. HSC students studying with Sussanne consistently score in the top level of Band 6. A past winner of many aria competitions including the prestigious Shell Aria, Sussanne has many students who have in turn gained success in a wide assortment of competitions and scholarships.

Peter’s glorious bass-baritone voice has lead him to great success in many areas of vocal performance including Opera, Music Theatre, Cabaret, Popular and Church Music. He is equally at home on stage or in cabaret – from original cast member of Phantom of the Opera to performing for Pope John-Paul II. The long list of vocal performance successes is accompanied by an equally long menu of wins in a wide variety of competitions including the prestigious ABC TV Quest.
Peter’s background in the administration of Catholic High Schools together with extensive teaching experience, in English, History, Music, Religion and Choral Music, combine with his theatrical credits to make him uniquely qualified for his position as Principal of the Australian School of Vocal Performance.
Paul Smith

Paul has recently completed his Honours year in a Bachelor of Music Degree and is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Creative Arts at the University of Western Sydney. He has also recently gained a Diploma of Vocal Education from the Australian School of Vocal Performance.
As an educator and pianist, Paul draws on his extensive experience with AMEB and ANZCA and work with the eminent piano educator Margaret Brandman, allowing him a wide range of experience in many styles.
He has been involved with drama as a performer and director for seven years and perfectly combines his skills and experience in both as one of ASVP’s outstanding instructors and coaching.
Although his performance skills are many and varied he has set his sites on a career in Opera having already won a scholarship from the Australian Opera Auditions Committee.
Rebecca Matheson

Rebecca is in her second year of training as an intern at ASVP The Voice School.
She has been a student at The Voice School for just over two years. Since starting her vocal training she has taken a keen interest in musical theatre, performing in Into the Woods, Sound Of Music and currently Bye Bye Birdie.
Rebecca performed with the Indigo Carolers at the Carrington Hotel for Christmas Day and “Christmas in July”.
Rebecca was Dux of Year 10 and equal first in the School Certificate at Winmalee High School. She has been heavily involved with many aspects of WHS’s music program as a member of the Vocal Group, Intermediate and Senior Concert Band. She is also a talented dancer, placing in four state championships and three national championships
Morgan Roberts

Morgan has recently gained a Certificate of Vocal Education from the Australian School of Vocal Performance.
Morgan’s great passion for the concert platform and theatre is evidenced in his performance credits. Astudent of Sussane Towers from the Australian School of Vocal Performance from aged 10, Morgan began his professional career at 11 with Opera Australia in Carmen, Orpheus in the Underworld, and A Mid Summer Night’s Dream.
As soloist for renowned choirs including the Gwent Male Voice Choir and Sydney Welsh Choir, Morgan’s other credits include The Sound of Music, The Pirates of Penzance, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Children of Eden, Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, High School Musical, The Wedding Singer and Les Miserables,
Morgan combines his passion for performance with a great love of music of all kinds.

Virginia has had a long and varied medical career encompassing Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry.
With her medical background and a research degree in human anatomy, Virginia was naturally attracted to the Estill approach to voice training, and its firm base in anatomy and physiology.
She has delivered lectures on anatomy for Estill workshops and taught an eight week Certificate Course in Vocal Anatomy.
Virginia brings to the ASVP a unique perspective, on the Art and Science of Singing.

to Radio, Opera and the Community, Peter’s great success and experience as a broadcaster with ABC Radio and Television, is wonderfully complemented by his performance credits in the areas of opera and music theatre. His dedication and commitment to the support of Australian talent is evidenced by his position as Chairman of the Australian Opera Audition Committee.
Peter was a leading light in presentation of the Estill Voice Model for more than 10 years. He is also passionate about the the work of Edgar Herbert-Caesari having been a student of Vernon Mackie, a student of Caesari himself. He incorporates his vast experience in the area of accelerated learning into a voice teaching concept which makes him a much sort after voice consultant.
Peter’s obvious passion for excellence in voice is reflected in the success of his students who are working professionally, internationally and Australia-wide in opera, music theatre and contemporary music as well as in corporate speaking and may other public speaking arenas.

One of Australia’s most diverse, sensitive and award-winning pianists, John is comfortable in all styles. He has performed professionally for more than 25 years for recitals, ensembles, classical concerts, through to jazz, popular music and cabaret.
His performance skills are legendary, comfortably embracing live radio broadcasts and the concert platform.
John has returned to the ”Con” as performance lecturer in the Ensemble Studies Unit.

Leonie has the expereince of more than 35 years as a qualified health professional in the modalities of osteopathy, homoeopathy, acupuncture, naturopathy, clinical hypnotherapy and counseling.
Among the innumerable who have benefited from Leonie’s extraordinary healing talents and knowledge, are a long list of elite professional Australian singers and speakers. Leonie’s specialised skills are unique and her commitment to the well being of the students of the Australian School of Vocal Performance is invaluable.
Author of Why Am I So Tired, Freedom from Pain, An Understanding of Osteopathy, and Natural Health with Humour, Leonie is also an experienced speaker and trainer.
Bradley Carroll

A Graduate of WAAPA, Brad Carroll’s performance experience started at an early age performing with Opera Australia as a boy soprano in several operas.
As a tenor, Brad performed as a recording artist with ABC Radio, and as a soloist in Premiere Cabaret Showcase 2004. Music Theatre and Drama credits include, Into the Woods, The Boy from Oz, West Side Story, Assassins, Jane Eyre and The Good Fight with which he performed in the New York International Music Theatre Festival.
Brad’s passion for performance as well as his outstanding talents in a variety of genres allows him to bring a wonderfully fresh and enthusiastic energy to ASVP’s Drama and Voice Programs.

Naomi studied the world renowned Nordoff-Robbins approach to music therapy in 1994 when the first graduate diploma course was conducted in Australia. Since then she has accumulated a wide range of experience with clients with differing needs, In addition to work at various venues throughout the Penrith and Blue Mountains area, Naomi has established music therapy program in six nursing homes/hostels across the great Sydney area.
Naomi Hadfield is a very special addition to the highly professional team currently involved with ASVP’s programs.
Meredith McKay
Early Childhood Music
Meredith Mckay combines her interest in musical experience and education with her passion for the benefits of music in early childhood development. Her background in the Orff Music Program, psychology, child development, violin, singing, piano and associated studies, allows her to bring a unique blend of musical awareness and understanding of the needs of children to her work in our Early Childhood Music Program.
Meredith leads her classes on a very special journey of discovery and development through music.
